With individual music-centered psychotherapy, we utilize song-writing, instrumental improvisation, vocal psychotherapy, active listening, discussion and analysis to access unconscious material and maladaptive patterns that present barriers to you living up to your full potential.
The approach is gentle and non-judgemental, and no musical training is required.
In this weekly group, you will learn Focusing techniques for all aspects of your daily life. We will use music to explore the deeper meaning of unconscious material that arises. No music ability is required. Participants will gain an understand of their maladaptive patterns of thought and behaviour that act as barriers in their lives. These sessions will not "dive deep" into individual participant issues, rather they are meant to provide insight into what might be explored further. Meaningful social interaction, shared experience, emotional support and learning self-care techniques are all benefits of this series of online group sessions.
